The death rate for COVID-19 is about 1%–10%, depending on how you calculate things (e.g., see this BBC post, or this one from the WHO, or this one from the Government of Canada).

For sinners, the death-rate is 100%! As I always tell my students, “If you sin, you die!” But we do have a remedy: repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. This pandeminc, or any other disaster, natural or man-made, reminds us of our mortality, and reminds us to repent, so that we can escape the wrath of God (as Jesus told his disciples in Luke 13:4–5).
